DB Octet, the 8-person version of the DB Orchestra, is a little unique because we can be 2 different types of band: a miniature jazz band, and a horn-driven rock band!
The jazz version of the Octet is great for more upscale events where our full 16-piece big band would be “a little much”; functions such as wineries/garden parties, fundraisers, or even smaller, more intimate weddings. This configuration specializes in the musical stylings of Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Dean Martin, and other giants of jazz. Our dynamite singer, smooth horns, and steadfast rhythm section ensure that your guests will be telling each other “ooh, I loved that one!” all night long.
Then, the DB Octet’s rock band is our most popular choice for weddings…when you really want to get your friends and family on the dance floor all night long, you can’t beat a horn-heavy party band! We have dance classics from everyone’s favorite artists, including ABBA, Stevie Wonder, Tina Turner, Whitney Houston, and much more. A standard rock band is one thing, but the bombastic horn section of the DB Octet brings the energy to an entirely new level. We’re adding songs to our library all the time, so you’ll hear a perfect mix of classics and popular tunes on the radio today.
